Technology Needs Assessment and Identification for Intervention for a Block, Maharashtra
PI: Prof. K. Narayanan, Humanities and Social Science
Achieving productive efficiency amongst rural areas of India is known to be strongly contingent upon access to appropriate technology solutions. This study aims to spell out the technological, marketing and other institutional requirements of various socio-economic groups in the chosen rural area. Attempts would also be made to incorporate the proposed technological, marketing and other institutional support under the existing schemes of the Government of India, Government of Maharashtra, local bodies, and other agencies like NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development). The socio-economic benefits arising from extending such technological and institutional support to the target groups would also be examined as part of this project.
