Project Proposals
Call for Proposals (Seed and Translational Grants)
The Tata Centre for Technology and Design at IIT Bombay invites proposals for seed and translational grants from faculty members. The Centre has interests in agriculture, disaster management, education, energy, healthcare, housing, waste management, and water: proposals therefore preferentially address the unmet needs faced by resource-constrained communities.
Seed Grants:
Seed grants are awarded to faculty members with fresh ideas, who wish to prototype products or processes, or develop a better need statement. Grants go up to Rs. 12 lakhs for a duration of one year. Several of our seed grants have ended up being developed into more comprehensive translation proposals.
Translational Grants:
Projects which have clearly established a need that has to be addressed, and that are at a relatively mature state of concept development will be considered for translational funding.
Guidelines
- Multi-investigator proposals are encouraged. The Principal Investigator shall be responsible for the technical and managerial aspects of the project execution.
