Mechatronics
Mechatronics combines the knowledge and skills of three engineering disciplines: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and software engineering. This interdisciplinary topic therefore opens doors to a host of career opportunities in areas such as advanced manufacturing and automation, robotics, nanotechnology, aerospace, computing and electronics, lot and biomedical engineering. To match up to the demand in the field of mechatronics, an engineer can upgrade their skills to be able to design, build, operate and maintain machinery with electronic and computer control systems that are increasingly seen in aircraft, robots, motor vehicles, cameras, power generators, and chemical plant machinery. This course is expected to impart knowledge and skills, right from tearing down basic mechatronic devices to building complex systems
